Covid-19 Update viii

Following latest Govt. Guidance 14th September

Here at Cumulus the safety and care of our customers is at the core of what we do, we are continually reviewing and updating our Covid Secure procedures as new guidance from the Government and NGBs becomes available.

We are delighted to be able to once again provide our activities and residentials and have been passed as Covid Secure by Visit England. We have spent a huge amount of time devising our Covid secure procedures working closely with industry partners and NGBs to make sure both our customers and staff can stay safe whilst getting the full experience they have come to expect from us.

We remind everyone that you must not attend an activity or residential with Cumulus if you or someone you have close contact with has exhibited symptoms or tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 14 days. If an individual exhibits symptoms whilst staying with us the appropriate procedures will be implemented as per the Governments track and trace policy. All individuals must consent to us holding personal details for 21 days for track and trace purposes.

Please also do not attend an activity or residential with Cumulus Outdoors if your home address is under local lockdown measures preventing overnights stays or limiting interactions with those outside your own household.

Please see below some of the steps we have put in place, when booking an activity, more detailed policies/risk assessments are available pertinent to that specific session upon booking.

Accommodation and communal facility provision is group specific dependant on the group makeup; for instance, school or family and the support bubbles formed within this. More detailed information will be provided on booking and a bespoke plan put in place following the latest guidance.

At all times social distancing is applicable except when mitigations are in place.

All our activities fall under the updated (14th September) Government guidance for Sport and Physical activity

  •  When moving two and from activities the ‘group of six’ rule applies when individuals are from different households.
  • Once on activity a group may be over six where the appropriate Covid Secure policy and Risk assessment is in place to minimise the chance of transmission. This takes into account, distance between individuals, shared equipment, emergency procedures etc.
  • Instructors have now been exempt by the Government from Covid Secure ratios in the same way a tradesperson entering your home does not count towards your group of six.
