The Space

Cumulus Outdoors Residential Centre, Swanage, Dorset, sleeps 4-133 in 31 bedrooms.

Our purpose-built centre in Swanage provides a range of facilities to ensure you have all you need for a great residential/ adventure holiday experience in Dorset. Whether you are a large family group, or a school or youth group seeking accommodation in a stunning location, we have an option that will suit your needs and requirements.

The centre comprises of 4 separate buildings, each with its own recreational area.

Studland Building – Sleeps up to 43 across 12 en suite bedrooms
Durlston Building – Sleeps up to 38 across 5 bedrooms (16, 14, 2, 2, 4). The 2 large bunk rooms have a toilet and shower room each, the 3 smaller rooms are en suite
Peveril Building – Sleeps up to 32 across 10 en suite bedrooms
Bungalow – Sleeps up to 16 across 4 bedrooms (6, 6, 2, 2), 3 toilet/ shower rooms

Each accommodation building has a small kitchenette (microwave, toaster and kettle) and lounge area for leaders. Each residential building also comes with its own separate private recreation/ lounge area for use during your stay.

Catering facilities on-site including a large dining room that sits 72. Groups can choose to self cater or take advantage of the full board option.

There are facilities on site for a variety of adventure activities plus space for both outdoor and indoor recreation, all set in 6 acres of grounds. We also have a classroom on site to enable more educational elements to be included if required.

As an award-winning outdoor Adventure provider, we can take you off-site to enjoy one of many adventure experiences with us. These include Coasteering, Climbing, Kayaking, Paddle-boarding, Bushcraft, AeroBall, Tag Archery, Air Rifle Shooting and more!

Self Catered Bungalow

We have a spacious, purpose built bungalow on our residential site which is available to hire on a self catering basis. This large holiday cottage accommodates 16 people and is an ideal base for divers, walkers, hikers, climbers and larger family groups wanting a relaxing holiday on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.

This is a hostel/ bunkhouse style property with stunning views over Swanage Bay. It is within easy walking distance of  Swanage beach, town and pier and all the amenities you’ll need during your stay. Our group accommodation is well suited to clubs or groups looking for a cost effective way to explore Dorset and the wider South West area. It is particularly well suited to friends or family looking to partake in outdoor adventure activities during the stay.

The bungalow is located at the lower end the Cumulus Outdoors site with further site buildings and office sitting at the top of the site. It is just a short drive from some of the best climbing sites in the Isle of Purbeck region, including Dancing Ledge.

Swanage is also home to a number of renowned diving and fishing charters.

Our large group accommodation in Swanage contains:
