Duke Of Edinburgh’s Award Gold Canoe Closed

Overview
• 2 days training (11 days total)
• Fully supported
• All equipment supplied
• Training to take place in Dorset at the Springfield Hotel. Day 1 will be an expedition skills training day, first aid, camp craft, emergency procedures etc. Day 2 will be a canoe skills training day on Wareham River and around Poole Harbour
• Practice Expedition: This will take place on the River Thames over three days and two nights, the team will be closely supervised for the first day and a half or longer as required.
• Qualifying Expedition: This will take place on the River Wye over five days. Day one will be an acclimatisation day and the expedition itself will take place on days 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Transport not included.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Walking Expedition AAP

Overview

Two full days training at all levels of the award.

Cumulus Outdoors will take away the headache of planning, training and equipping your teams expeditions. We have a team of outstanding, fully qualified and experienced staff ready to work with you and take you through every step of the process. Uniquely, we offer two full days of training at all levels of the award. Based in the stunning Purbeck Hills of Dorset, we are ideally located for expeditions in this region while also being able to provide expeditions across most of England and Wales. We can be flexible to meet the needs of your teams and we’re always happy to talk through your programme at any time.

Bronze Walking Closed:
• 6 days in Total
• 2 days training
• All equipment supplied
• Training to take place at your school or centre
2 specific training days to give you all the training you require, 1 day route planning/ navigation/camp craft/first aid and the second day out walking in the local area
• 2 day practice expedition with a choice of locations to best suit you
• 2 Day Qualifying expedition with a choice of locations to best suit you Transport not included.

Expedition dates:
Training Weekend 08 April – 09 April 2017
Practice Expedition 13 May – 14 May 2017
Qualifying Expedition 09 September – 10th September 2017

Silver Walking Closed:

• 8 days in total
• 2 days training
• All equipment supplied
• Training days to take place at your school or centre.
2 specific training days to give you all the training you require, 1 day route planning/ navigation/camp craft/first aid and the second day out walking in the local area
• 3 day Practice expedition with a choice of locations to best suit you
• 3 day Qualifying expedition with a choice of locations to best suit you

Gold Walking Closed:

• 10 days in total
• 2 days training
• All equipment supplied
• Training to take place at your school or centre
2 specific training days to give you all the training you require, 1 day route planning/ navigation/camp craft/first aid and the second day out walking in the local area
• 4 day Practice Expedition, options are Dartmoor, Brecon Beacons or Black Mountains
• 4 day Qualifying Expedition, options are Dartmoor, Brecon Beacons or Black Mountains
Transport not included.
Gold Walking Open:

• 10 days in total.
• 2 Days Training
• All equipment supplied
• Training to take place in Dorset at the Springfield Hotel
2 specific training days to give you all the training you require, 1 day route planning/Navigation/Camp craft/First Aid
• 4 Day Practice Expedition in Black Mountains, Wales
• 4 Day Qualifying Expedition in Dartmoor, Devon or Brecon Beacons, Wales.
Transport not included.
