Scouts and youth adventure in Dorset

Overview

Experience a special adventure during the summer on our fully exclusive and private campsite on the edge of Poole Harbour with views over Brownsea Island.

Your Camping experience includes one (two dependant on numbers) of our impressive Nordic Tipis. Nordic Tipis are made out of solid wooden poles grown in the cold forests of Sweden and a light tan-coloured canvas. They provide you with shade on a hot summers day or a warm and cosy feel (with real log fires!) on a cold summers eve. The specially designed fabric is fire retardant, water repellent and tough making them perfect to cope with the British weather. With enough room to seat 30 people or stand 50, our Tipi’s really do create the perfect atmosphere – all you have to do is bring the marshmallows!

Location: Near to Burnbake Campsite, Corfe Castle. Just two hours from London, 40 minutes from Bournemouth & Poole. We’ll meet your group on-site.

Your Camping experience also comes with a fully equipt kitchen and a member of Cumulus staff to assist and cook your meals. Portaloos are onsite and the main showers are located at the main Burnbake Campsite (BH20 5JH).

Example Itinerary:

We can run a 2, 3, 4, or 5 day residential trip for you.

An example of a 3 day trip would look like……

Day 2 AM – Cooked breakfast – activity (coasteering) – Lunch – activity (climbing)
Day 2 Evening – Dinner, free time and a camp fire in the Tipi.
Day 3 AM – Cooked Breakfast – head to the beach – Lunch (BBQ) – Depart

Top Instructors in wonderful surroundings

Denny and Scott led our 12 scouts down to Dancing Ledge in wind and rain for rock climbing, managed to keep spirits up and encouraged them to do some tricky climbs. These guys are qualified Mountain Leaders and really know what they are about. We had a great 2 hours kayaking on the Frome as well. We highly recommend this team.
