Catering for every requirement
Food is an important part of any residential school trip with Cumulus Outdoors. We regularly receive excellent feedback for our catering and have achieved a 5-Star Health and Hygiene rating at our Residential Centre and Tented Villages. This gives Schools and Parents confidence when booking and keeps schools returning year on year.

Food at Cumulus Outdoors
Food provision across the world is going through a turbulent time and locally sourced ingredients with minimal mileage is more important than ever. Where possible Cumulus continues to develop relationships with local and regional producers, with staple ingredients coming from a few local suppliers who have an emphasis on sourcing locally.

Head Chef Experience
In 2022, Phil Harvey joined Cumulus Outdoors as Head Chef. Phil oversees the catering provision across the company assisted by a great team at the centre and seasonal field cooks on camp. Phil has been in catering from an early age and trained in multiple cuisines before operating in a variety of catering environments during his career.
Phil came to Cumulus highly recommended and continues to drive our passion for excellence by providing hearty, feel good food on all our residentials, whilst catering for diverse religious and dietary requirements.

Continued catering improvements
In 2022 Cumulus delivered in-excess of 20,000 evening meals, using roughly 39,000 rashers of bacon, 6,000 loaves of bread and 11,000 tomatoes to mention a few!
Continued renewal of facilities allows Cumulus to provide first rate food provision. Our Field kitchens have had new gas ranges installed and a new breakfast bar/cold food buffet area provides even greater choice at our Residential Centre.
