Autumn Half Term Club 5-16yrs

Come and enjoy a morning of outdoor adventure activities during the autumn half term at the Cumulus Outdoors Residential Centre and some of our off-site locations in and around Swanage.

For one week only, we will be offering a range of Halloween based adventurous and fun education activities aimed at getting local children active and encouraging an interest in the great outdoors.

The Programme

Monday 28th October: Survival Bushcraft and Campfire Toffee Apples

Learn some survival skills by trying out fire lighting and building shelters in the great outdoors. Have you got what it takes to survive in the wild? Even explorers and survival skills experts need to eat so we will enjoy toffee apples roasted over the open fire. Afterwards, you’ll craft your very own spooky survival bracelet – you never know when you might need it! A delicious two-course hot lunch rounds off the morning to recharge energy levels.

Tuesday 29th October: Broomstick Making and Tag Archery

Get crafty! Design and make your very own broom stick. Get back to basics and look for natural items within our woods to assemble the ultimate Nimbus 2000 Broom Stick! This is followed by tag archery which combines archery, paintball and dodgeball into one unbeatable outdoor adventure. Tag archery is a safe and friendly combat sport, which makes it the perfect option for all ages. To wrap up the morning’s antics, included is a hot two course meal.

Wednesday 30th October: Terror Tunnels and Witches Hat Cookies

Prepare with torches and helmets to take on our new tunnelling system, where you’ll face spooky challenges as teams.  Then, we will create and decorate delicious, chocolatey Halloween witches hats. Yum! Our chef will provide a scrumptious two-course meal before you go home.

Thursday 31st October: Halloween Party

It’s time to carve a pumpkin, create your very own masterpiece and take it home with you. Next, enjoy a range of fun Halloween games including apple bobbing, mummy wrapping and much, much more. And to refuel, our chef will serve up a nutritious, scrummy meal.

Friday 1st November: Air Rifles /Axe Throwing and Making Pumpkin Slime

Join us for a morning of thrilling target sports- axe throwing and air rifle shooting. Learn the art of axe throwing with expert instructors and master the precision of air rifle shooting. Who will be the best marksman / markswoman? Afterwards, lets get creative and make yukky pumpkin slime. To fuel all this creativity, the morning finishes with a hot two course meal.
