Learn how to survive and thrive in the great outdoors during one of our exciting bushcraft sessions in Dorset. Get back to basics while you master a range of skills to help you utilise the natural environment in a survival situation.
Survival skills courses
All of our bushcraft sessions take place in our private woodland site near Swanage. They can be geared towards children and adults and are both fun and educational. Bushcraft courses can be enjoyed as a standalone activity and are ideal for youth groups, team building days or stag and hen dos.
Half Day Basic Bushcraft Experience
Join us for a half day introduction to bushcraft and learn a range of survival skills to help you thrive in the great outdoors. Over the course of the 3-hour session, you’ll get to grips with a range of new skills and leave with a new found confidence in nature.
The session will include fire lighting and protective shelter building. During this session you will look at different methods of fire lighting and use a range of materials to create a protective shelter that would keep you warm and dry in an emergency situation.

Survival 101
Survival 101 is a full day bushcraft activity session. It takes place in our private woodland near Swanage and is well suited to children and adults.
Over the course of the session, you will learn how to utilise natural and manmade materials to build a shelter to protect you from the elements. Our experienced instructors will teach you how to start a fire, forage for wild edibles, set traps and prepare game.
This course is great fun and perfect for children’s parties or business away days. It’s also popular with intrepid families looking for a unique outdoor activity to try during a holiday in Dorset.

Bushcraft FAQs
What do I need to bring to a bushcraft session?
Please wear outdoor clothing to help you get back to basics whilst also enjoying the natural environment. Water proofs and beanie or t-shirts and light clothing with sunscreen. Wellingtons, walking boots or trainers, again depending on the weather. If you are unsure what to bring to one of our bushcraft sessions, just give us a call or drop an email.
What is the minimum age for a bushcraft session?
This depends on the bushcraft session you select – please get in touch to find out more.
What is the minimum bushcraft session group size?
The minimum group size for bushcraft sessions is 4, although we will always group smaller parties together if at all possible.
Is previous bushcraft experience necessary?
No previous bushcraft experience is necessary. The instructors are on hand to offer assistance and guidance throughout.
