RLSS Beach Lifeguard Course
The National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification is available throughout the summer months at Cumulus Outdoors Residential Centre. It is delivered by trained professionals and is designed to suit individuals working in the outdoor education sector. With classroom facilities and a 5 minute walk to the beach, we are set in the perfect location.
Please note, if there are no dates advertised we are currently not planning a course.
National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification
The NVBLQ course is a 5 day course and is followed by a practical assessment, looking at beach theory, life support, first aid, swimming pool practical and open water practical. This qualification is great if you are looking to work on beaches around the UK run by the RNLI, looking to add to your instructional CV or even taking students to the coast for field study work.

- Course cost includes e manual, certificate and registration
- Learn lifesaving skills, including first aid and CPR
- Valid for 2 years
Requirements:
- You must be able to swim 400m in 8minutes in a pool
- You must have a good level of fitness
- You must be able to dive to a depth of 2m in a pool
- Ages 16years+
