Our Mountain Biking Course is available throughout the year at Cumulus Outdoors Residential Centre. Our course is delivered by trained professionals and designed to suit individuals working in the outdoor education sector.

Mountain-bike Instructor Award Scheme – 2 Day Course
The Mountain Bike Leader Award allows you to start your journey as a mountain bike guide or instructor.
This is a combined course over two days which covers level 1 & 2 of the award:
MIAS Mountain Bike Leader Level One (MBL1)
Non technical terrain
This award allows access into low level terrain, with few potential hazards. This award includes Blue forest trails.
MIAS Mountain Bike Leader Level Two (MBL2)
Technical Trail
This award allows access into open country, with the potential hazards associated with the terrain. Technical Trail in open countryside, 30 minutes from cycling assistance, and up to 6oo meters of altitude. This award includes red forest trails.
- Duration: 16 hours
- Requirements: You must be confident mountain biking on red trails, and hold a first aid award of 8 hours or greater.
