Raft building & racing
At the start of the day our friendly and knowledgeable team will teach you a variety of knots and raft building techniques. You’ll then be presented with a selection of materials to design and build the ultimate raft! After the allotted construction time we’ll launch the rafts and see if they stay intact as you race them across the lake! Will you emerge victorious and reach the other side first?!
There will be plenty of fun and games as you take on various challenges designed to put your raft to the test. Will you emerge victorious and reach the other side first without any disasters along the way!

Stand up paddleboarding (SUP)
Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is fast becoming one of the most popular watersports in Dorset! Work with our instructors to perfect your balance and master the art of kneeling then standing up. Once you’re confident we’ll teach you the basic skills needed to propel yourself through the water and turn. With a little bit of practice, you’ll be paddling around the lake in no time at all!
Our sheltered lake is the perfect place for complete beginners to try stand up paddleboarding for the first time. The water is flat calm and safe, giving even the youngest participants the confidence needed to try something new. It’s our hope that you’ll leave the session with new skills, and maybe a new hobby!
Regular paddleboarding is great for overall fitness and massively improves your core strength. It’s the perfect outdoor adventure activity for families holidaying in Swanage.
