Next generation of Jurassic Coast visitors inspired by Cumulus Outdoors
Recently, The Jurassic Coast Trust released the following editorial:
“Cumulus Outdoors continues to support the Jurassic Coast Trust, helping to inspire young visitors to learn about the Jurassic Coast, whilst raising vital funds to help look after it for generations to come.
Julian Sawyer of Purbeck Footprints, one of the Trusts’ volunteer ‘Ambassadors’ delivered a series of talks for young people undertaking their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Residential in Dorset with Cumulus Outdoors. In 2022, £1 from each person attending the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Residential, was donated to the Jurassic Coast Trust, helping to preserve the coastline for present and future generations to enjoy. Cumulus also collected donations from people booking onto their coasteering, climbing and abseiling activities throughout 2022, with the total donation amount reaching £506 for the year.

Cumulus Outdoors offer outdoor adventure activity residentials for school and youth groups on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. Cumulus’ Sam Thompson sees this key collaboration as part of the company’s commitment to looking after the local environment:
‘Cumulus Outdoors have been a Business Partner of the Jurassic Coast Trust since 2015. It is really rewarding to be able to raise money to help towards conservation and education along the World Heritage Site, so that future generations can enjoy it as much as we do today’.
Melanie Campbell from the Trust said,
‘This is a key relationship for the Trust and we look forward to inspiring more young people about our incredible World Heritage Site through our partnership with Cumulus Outdoors.’
