Cumulus Outdoors gain BAPA accreditation

Cumulus Outdoors is delighted to have gained accreditation with BAPA, the British Activity Providers Association.
BAPA works with providers of school activity programmes, adventure activities and day camps and is acknowledged, respected and consulted by members of the outdoor industry, relevant Government departments and regulatory bodies.
It has amassed a wealth of information and guidance over many years which is captured in the BAPA Members Code of Practice, providing information, support and accreditation for members that comply with the benchmark standards of the Code of Practice.
This comprehensive Code of Practice details standards for:
- Accommodation
- Activity Equipment
- Activity Guidelines
- Customer Care
- Environmental Responsibility
- Fire Precautions
- First Aid
- Health and Safety
- Insurance
- Learning Support
- Recruitment, Staffing and Management
- Transport
BAPA provides members with clear operating guidance and support within this code of practice while keeping members informed of the latest information and developments. This is where BAPA is different from the Adventure Activities Licencing Authority (AALS) and Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC). BAPA’s process enables providers (Cumulus) to focus and be assessed on the quality of their entire provision, not just end delivery. The association represents the commercial sector on a number of important national forums and participates in influencing and lobbying initiatives to support industry and sector interests.
