The Winning Formula at Cumulus Outdoors

As with Formula 1, there are many things which contribute to a successful, high performing team. But if you were to highlight one particular aspect, then it would be the personnel who make up the team and not the infrastructure or the equipment. We would like to introduce you to the winning team behind the outdoor instructors at Cumulus Outdoors who are equally responsible for making your school residential a success. Our office team consists of three ‘chirpy office ladies’ Jackie, Julia and Sandra who compete on Wordle every day even before they get into work!
Jackie, looks after the finances and, as Office Manager, keeps the office staff happy and running as a well-oiled team. She also supports the social marketing effort and guards the key box with her life, ‘Key control’ being a key challenge for many a business. If you need anything ordered, Jackie is the one to sort it for you.
When not at work Jackie loves walking and photography, for both of which there is plenty of opportunity around the stunning Isle of Purbeck.
Julia, our bookings administrator, is the person responsible for liaising with teachers to make sure everything surpasses your expectations when you stay with us, whether at our residential centre or our tented villages. She is also the ‘Queen of the Spreadsheet’ and, according to a recent customer review, “Charm itself” – no question is too silly for her to answer. Outside work, Julia loves bird spotting and walks with her Labrador Monty and has recently developed a keen interest for interior design in her home.
Jackie and Julia would make a brilliant team on Pop Master, they practice every time they have an opportunity so avoid ringing at 10.30 in the morning!
Sandra co-ordinates the activities programmes to ensure your programme outcomes are achieved, she is our very own ‘traffic controller’ for your school. She’s easily spotted arriving to work on her little red scooter no matter what the weather! Sandra always works with a smile and is a very worthy Wordle opponent! She is also a keen bird spotter, enjoys walks with her border collie Fifi and is a very dedicated rugby mum.
Although this team doesn’t get to stand on a podium at the end of a season, they are an integral part of a successful formula at Cumulus Outdoors ensuring every school residential is a winner.
