Outdoor Adventure Activities in the Isle of Purbeck

August 9th, 2022

Cumulus Outdoors provide fun outdoor learning experiences on the Jurassic Coast in the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. Work with our team to create a bespoke activity package to suit your school or youth group.

We are very fortunate to be able to provide school and youth group residentials in the stunning Isle of Purbeck – a peninsula within the county of Dorset. The area of land is around 60 square miles and juts out into the English Channel with three sides bordered by water

The Purbeck coastline is part of the 95 mile stretch known as the Jurassic Coast, named England’s first natural World Heritage Site in 2002 due to the unique insight it offers into 185 million years of the Earth’s history. The Purbeck Hills are a ridge of chalk downs extending from Lulworth Cove in the west to Old Harry Rocks in the east. This beautiful environment creates a natural adventure playground which we delight in providing for our visiting schools and youth groups, whether at our residential centre in Swanage or our exclusive tented villages.
