School Adventure Day Trips – Off Peak Special Offer
November 16th, 2020
Fantastic savings on off peak adventure day trips for schools.
This year we’ve missed the buzz, excitement and the pure delight of visiting children staying at the Cumulus Outdoors Residential Centre. Watching young people experience the wonders of new activities and learning new skills within the stunning surroundings of the Jurassic Coast, is something we look forward to every year. We also understand how frustrating it is for schools, who have had to postpone their 2020 school trip and are still not able to plan their traditional residential trip for the Spring or Summer term 2021. So, we’re inviting schools and youth groups to our residential centre in Swanage for a fun-filled adventure day or half day trip.
Reduced cost for off-season adventure trips: Half Day £15pp – Full Day £25p
Whilst schools are not able to stay overnight for traditional school residential trips due Covid-19 restrictions, we are throwing open our doors to provide schools with day trips packed full of the experiences they are missing with a reduced cost offer for the off-season. We are encouraging schools to consider our adventure activity days as an alternative to residential trips and for their pupils to gain all the benefits of a residential in a concentrated form. Children need to be outdoors, in the fresh air, immersed in nature especially after the negative effects of the prolonged lockdown. All schools will function in their own bubbles and Cumulus Outdoors will amend Covid-19 operating procedures to blend with those of the school to maintain and enhance personal safety.
We have a vast array of exciting outdoor activities for schools to suit the winter period. Some of which include Climbing & Abseiling on the Jurassic cliffs, Bushcraft, Tag Archery, Target Sports, AeroBall, Team Building, Orienteering and Canoeing, and these can be mixed and matched to fit your ideal programme for your pupils’ development.

Fun, adventure and learning!
Learning outcomes are integral parts of our activity sessions and can include team building, leadership, resilience, self-confidence, trust and communication skills. Our fully qualified and experienced staff know just how to build these qualities into the learning experience without your pupils realising it! For example, during bushcraft sessions impart shelter building, firelighting, cooking and knife skills for the basics of wilderness living. Having permission to light fires, use knives and cook over an open fire has never been such fun!
With our ‘Challenge by Choice’ ethos, everyone only takes part in activities they feel fully confident with. Although many children, and staff, have been amazed at just how much they have been able to achieve!
Quality assured school residential trips
Cumulus Outdoors has been providing quality school residential trips since 2015 and adventure activities since 2008. We have a proven track record with schools returning year on year and have won awards for our high quality outdoor adventure activities. With a slight adjustment to our operations, we are now able to offer the same brilliant adventures and the same skill building benefits all year round with reduced costs for the off-peak season!

Please note not all activities are available all year and mountain biking and high ropes course have an additional cost for equipment hire.
