Camp

We supply you with your own secluded and exclusive campsite village in an unbeatable location. The camp boasts canvas tents, a fully kitted camp kitchen, washing up facilities, separate teacher/ student showers and toilets. Our large communal Nordic Tipi is at the heart of the camp and there is ample space for those important evening games. All sleeping accommodation is under canvas and all tents are fitted with fire alarms, sleeping mats, built in ground sheets and can sleep between 8 and 10 students depending on age.

The large communal Nordic Tipi comes features a fire pit where all students can gather for central briefings, activities, meal times and story-telling in the evenings.

Teachers also sleep under canvas, these tents are kitted out with individual sleeping pods, camp beds, chairs and a welcome pack. Teachers will also have the use of a dedicated communal area with a fire pit, plus phone charging facilities and most importantly, a brew station!

Food

All of our meals are cooked on-site with the menu varying depending on the course duration. We cater for all dietary requirements including allergies and religious beliefs.

In addition to three main meals students will also be given snacks throughout the day. There is always access to clean drinking water both at camp and all activity locations. Students are encouraged to use their own personal water bottle throughout their stay. In the evenings they’ll be able to enjoy hot chocolate and marshmallows around the camp fire.

Security & Overnight Routine

Our camps are exclusive to you! At no time will you share a field (no matter how big) or facilities with another group. With a surrounding fence line and lockable gate, teachers and trip leaders can rest assured that their students are in a safe and enjoyable environment. So sit back, relax and enjoy a worry free camp village setting!

During camp introductions, students are made aware of the overnight routine and they will be reminded of this every evening just prior to bedtime. Should they wake up and want to leave their tent, they must:

  • Wake up a friend and walk with them using a flashlight
  • Either head straight to the toilet which is lit up for ease and security
  • Or head to the main centre tipi which is lit up for ease and security where a minimum of two Cumulus Camp staff members will be available

There is always a minimum of two Cumulus Camp staff sleeping in the main centre tipi for security that is lit at all times. Any additional staff may stay in a tent near to the entrance of the campsite. The campsite gates are closed during the night.
